About Doctor

Dr. Rohit G Chitrapur finished his graduation from renowned M.S.Ramaiah Hospital, Bangalore in 2005. After working in the Department of Medical Oncology in Ramaiah hospital as a Junior Resident from 2005-2008, he completed his Post Graduation in Internal Medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore in 2011.

Dr. Chitrapur then joined the Department of Medical Oncology in Ramaiah Hospital as a Junior Consultant and worked there for 2 years, following which he completed a Fellowship in Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant from TATA MEDICAL CENTER, Kolkata .

He has been trained under one of the stalwarts in the field of Haematology and Transplant in India and was a part of the team which performed more than 200 Transplants over a span of 2 years at the same center. His specializations include Autologous Transplant for Lymphoma, Myeloma ,Germ Cell Tumors. Allogeneic Transplant (Haplo-identical, Related, Matched Unrelated) for Malignant (Acute Leukemia, Chronic Leukemia ,Lymphoma) and Benign (Thalassemia and Aplastic Anemia). He is also proficient in Managing Graft vs Host Disease, Infection (CMV, Fungal), Donor Lymphocyte infusions and Granulocyte Infusions.
